StarCraft: Ghost – Gameplay Footage Emerges for Blizzard’s Cancelled Third-Person Shooter
Captured from an apparent original Xbox build and presented in HD comes a look at Blizzard‘s cancelled StarCraft: Ghost – the third-person shooter that wasn’t to be from way back in the early-2000s. How way back? Well this was playable at E3 many years ago on Xbox and Nintendo GameCube hardware.
With a planned release long-before StarCraft II was a thing, this would see the series’ most notable Ghost – Nova – take on action-based missions with stealth and plenty of Zerg shootin’ at close-ish range. In full-3D, with polygons and all manner of early 2000s tech. Check it out.
Outside of the terrible aiming on behalf of the player, it looks like a fairly standard third-person game from the era – blending Metal Gear Solid with the Aliens feel of StarCraft.
