If you’ve noticed a bit of downtime… that’s not me.
The new hoster is not all that it’s cracked up to be. As frustrating as all this is proving, I’m probably going to move to another VPS. Perhaps an Australian one this time.

Can Sonik suggest anyone reliable? I’m looking at BinaryLane at this time.

BUGGER IT.
Okay, website is now running on a new VPS :D One in Aussieland.
So if you notice the site is faster, that’s because it’s located next door to you.

So far this new host is FAR more stable and provides me with alot more to work with. Though a little bit more expensive. Still, I can max out my internet from the site which ensures great speeds.

wos, install fail2ban and setup iptables to block most of china to save yourself constant ssh attacks, also changing ssh to say port 23 or 24 throws them a bit cause most are scripts

I can’t be f…
Maybe. MAYBE.

I just start seeing all the linux bs and I get a headache. And why the fudge does CPU and memory usage steadily climb over the days. Linux is one big fat memory leak.
Not looking to set up VPN at this time I don’t think. Aussie bandwidth is too expensive (I’m paying nearly double for less than 10% of the bandwidth).
I guess if it’s for low bandwidth usage I don’t mind. Feel free to install TS on it as well. Though you may prefer to keep it where it works.

I changed the port.
I’m a linux MASTERRRRRRRRRrrrr!

EDIT: fail2ban is also installed and configured.
I can’t be bugged with IP TABLES tonight. I’ll do it after I’ve had a massive dose of stims.

i run servers for years on end and mem/cpu doesnt leak so its something specific you are running. Keep an eye on top over the days to see what is the highest :)

The last server would keep rising and begin to hit the ceiling after 2 days.
I’ve configured apache and mysql and bit more on the new one and it is now dropping which is good. However, before the changes, it was steadily rising too.

Both were just clean installs of Ubuntu 14.04.

We’re just trying to keep the clan going in-spite of certain sarcasms.
