WTF would make my whole dashboard lights, and center console area including stereo lights randomly start flickering on and off, sometimes accompanied with a beeping :S

It happened ages ago, took it in and they couldn’t replicate it so just reset the computer, its happening again so if its doing it on way home ill pull in and not turn car off this time.

Have you heard anything about these issues on the cruze models?

Nothing else loses power though, like outside lights, windscreen wipers etc just the dash stuff. Plus if it was the alternator wouldn’t it have issues kicking over at start up ?

I need to know if ALL THE DASH LIGHTS come on, and not just backlighting flashing.?

If its just the backlights it might just be a intermittent earth problem, if its something else it would most probably log a history code with CAN-BUS no comms with IPC and IRC.

I will upload a photo of the dash lights in a second for a example.

Well there is a recall on the early cruzes, that had batterys leaking acid on engine looms. But that was a while ago.

The rego or vin number lets me look it up on the SECURE holden database for claim info.

But yeah, its definatly not the altanator wos and definatly a flat battery apollo.

Discuss more tonight steve.

Oh yeah, you need a MDI to connect to it using a laptop.

Only holden dealers have it, aka me :)

cool, pm’d ya the details, if it starts on the way home ill record it. I doubt it would be a recall model as ive already taken it back once to holden but i switched the engine off and when they borrowed it it didn’t occur hence why they just reset the computer. After that it didn’t happen for ages but started again badly this morning

I recently was able to get the error codes from me holden (now sold) by shorting the 5+6 points with a hair pin.

I was very proud of myself.
